I have struggled with a squeek with this mouthpiece since day 1. For a long time I thought it was me. I am a fairly strong player and play with a 3S to 3H Rico jazz select but reeds generally dont make a difference. Has anyone encounted this before?

There is no good reason for a Link to squeak. There are a lot of bad reasons and most of them happen on the factory floor. My guess is you got a piece with bad facing.

Not all mouthpieces are manufactured with precision (including Otto Links) so sometimes a mouthpiece has flaws that get in the way of their ideal performance. If you are an experienced player and this mouthpiece has been a problem since day 1 and reed choice doesn't seem to help, then there's a pretty strong chance it's an issue inherent to the mouthpiece.
