The gold has worn off leaving the harder nickel showing. If you look inside the “engraving” you may be able to see some gold left.

but the chart requires that 1980's Otto Link of that kind is gold plated, but the one I have appear as nickel plated

Links finished by Babbitt (so also the piece we are discussing in this thread) have silver under the gold.

Nickel was used under the gold in Florida Links. The older New York Links also had silver under the gold.
