In the late 70's I bought a new STM that had "GG" stamped on the side as the facing. I've never been able to find out who "GG" was; I know there used to be many different facing definitions for Links ("HS" - "Hawkins Special", "JA" - Joe Allard, "GA" - Georgie Auld, etc.), but I've never found mention of "GG".

Does anyone have any clues?

The mouthpiece was refaced in the 80s and opened to about 0.125" (everyone was doing it then...), so it's no longer a "GG". It played OK, seemed like it was about a 7 opening.
