Hello Everyone!
I just want to start off saying that this is is my first posting.
After purchasing a vintage conn Tenor and going down the rabbit hole of learning about what it is, I discovered that it is a Naked Lady Transitional from 1934. Now After dragging this thing around with me for a few years it is finally overhauled and ready for playing!
Now to the meat and potatoes of the post. It came with a beautiful Otto-Link Reso Chamber in wonderful condition and also the original stock eagle mouthpiece. I am now on a quest to find out what reeds are best to use with it. The horn cracks right when I get to g on the staff. I have a feeling that some of that is me, but can't help but wonder how much is reeds or ligature or something.
Are there ligatures or reeds that are more friendly for these mouthpieces?
