Playing in heat and old age is not a good combination. I can relate, although Ornette is 10 years older than me, which makes it a more serious affair for him. I hope he recovers to full good health soon.

I know it's selfish, but I pray he doesn't die before I get to hear him live. I once got the chance to meet him, which was an unbelievable experience, but I've never heard him play live. He's one of my all-time musical heroes, and I sure hope he gets well.
