This is a lot like my Ives post, but I was wondering if anyone knew if the original instrumentation of "Quiet City" (clarinet, trumpet, saxophone, and piano) by Copland is available for purchase. Yet again, a quick internet search turned up nothing helpful. Anything anyone could tell me would be great!

The original Quiet City music was never published, offererd for sale or performed except for two preview performances for the show that never opened. The music still exists in manuscript. One of my doctoral students just completed a concert suite of the original Quiet City from these manuscripts (from my library) which works quite beautifully. The instrumentation follows the original of trumpet, alto saxophone, clarinet and piano. Boosey and Hawkes is considering it for publication.
