How outrageously impossible is it to get hold of an original (and unadulterated) 1931 metal Otto Link Master Link mouthpiece for alto sax? Just curious, as I would very much like to try one.

Seems like a reasonable price to me. It's an old piece that doesn't show up every day.Just checked in Ebay.
one there now. In Australia.
expensive though.

That may just reflect its place in its time, back when alto saxes were to be seen and not heard.you arnt missing anything. my very first metal mpc was an alto original master link. stuffy and dead sounding. terrible mpc . esp for alto
