I was looking inside my Selmer Super Action 80 Series II today, when i noticed a red substance almost like wax oozing from the main tube of the sax into the bow, or arch, just where the two pieces connect, just above the Eb pad.the substance seems hard. i haven't noticed it before, and i don't know whether it's something new, or something that happened during construction. should i get it checked out? dies it have anything to do with the fact that it's been in hot Maui? i try to keep it in cool places, but its just a thought.
No need to worry, it's just excess glue. For cleanup have your technician remove the bow and bell, clean thoroughly, and re-assemble using his or her epoxy or solder of choice.
