in a local music shop there is a 1934 wurlitzer tenor for $500
i am a beginer and play a Buffet-Crampton Dynaction (on loan from school) and I want my own tenor
should I go for it?

It may be a Martin as they made many for them BUT make sure it is NOT a c Melody as they look alike! $500 would be OK if it looks good and the pads are OK.

I went to the store and played it and it plays good but:
there is no altissimo key and the spatula keys are really small
