Going by the info on Theo Wanne's site, if the serial number is four digits it would be a Huntington era (1951-1954) piece. I don't think it's a 1976 date code - my understanding is that by the 1970s the date codes were only stamped on the LevelAir pieces. The Ebolins no longer had numbers at that time.
