I think I"m buy ing a Yamaha E head silver head. I have to really find good light to read the writing but it says Type E sliver / I picked up a very good staubringer head for my di Zaho 700 and loved that. But as I progress and hear flute better I played this E head and heard more depth, warmth pretty tone out of my set up. I'm using flute finders to get these 5 heads I just trialed. They just sold my Powell Sonore for what I wanted to get /So theres money to burn/ I think I'll send Dana at flute finders this straubinger Head to sell so i"ll break even. Good days. Be well everyong and Happy Tday . K

It's a bit like changing mouthpieces but for me worse since it seems to take much longer to adapt to a flute head. The middle range isn't difficult but getting a strong clear sound on the bottom and a controlled in-tune 3rd octave require a precision and subtlety that takes a fair amount of time to develop for me.
