Still using my black nickel 2001
Oh I absolutely have to buy one of those. The solid silver and the black lacquer tenors are the only ones I have not played yet.

Of the four B&S altos I owned I really never liked any of them.

Really? I love my B&S alto and I’ve owned a lot of altos. Which alto do you prefer?
I actually gave up alto temporarily to focus on flute, tenor and soprano. Recently I have been getting calls for jobs that require an alto and I
purchased an Armstrong Heritage (Couf Superba II) and sent it to be completely rebuilt.

I played a Couf Sup. I for many years and am hoping this fits my needs.

The B&S altos I was playing had terrible intonation down low even after being adjusted half dozen times so I gave up and sold them.

I recently trialed a new JK MKX and if I could afford it that would be the one.
