I bought this piccolo online thinking it was a flute, when I got it my surprise it's a piccolo by Emerson and I can't find anything on the net about it! It has ELD stamped on it and some numbers on the bottom of the body. It's not the P-1 piccolo everyone thinks it is because if you look at the stamp it is not the traditional stamp they use for the P-1 but it's similar to older stamps used by Emerson. I need help identifying this Piccolo please!

That number would be the serial number and it IS a P-1 made before 1998. If the head is marked sterling or silver, then it is a higher model. Nothing unusual.
