Any members of the NASA here? What are the benefits of being an enthusiast member?

Thanks,

Paul

I've wondered the same. The cost to join is small - see https://www.saxophonealliance.org/join.asp - but I'm not sure what it gets you. The organization might be oriented toward academics. Their forums are very inactive.

Unfortunately, I probably wouldn't be able to make the conferences. I wouldn't mind joining as the rates are quite reasonable as RobBari pointed out, but I am just not sure I would get much out of it.

I would say the primary benefit is access to conferences (the regional ones are probably doable for most people --usually a few hours' drive). They are jam-packed with performances and masterclasses and there are a lot of vendors, particularly at the national conferences.

The annual publication contains a wide variety of articles, some are very interesting to all, some are of interest only to academics.

It is largely (but definitely not wholly) classically/academically-oriented.
