I don't have to play In The Mood, Mustang Salley or sing Margaritaville and the lights will stay on and there's a chicken in the oven. Life is good.

I give you about a year before you want to play again--five years if you have preschool-aged children.;):D

That's a good situation man; you can play because you want to, not because you have to, and be more selective as to what you play, too. Good riddance Margaritaville!!!

Directed my first college concert last night. Or should I say played piano on a tune and had the students run the show. It was really a rewarding experience because they took it seriously and showed some growth. I can't believe I'm saying this but I find teaching to be a blast. I'm going to take some masters classes next year and try to pick up another college class. I'd love to teach a jazz history class somewhere. Farewell Mr. Buffett nice knowing ya.

I was not as lucky this weekend :| . I did get to play Yakety Sax though...so it kinda balances out. Has anyone figured out how to incorporate Freedom Jazz Dance into an oldies cover band's setlist?:D
