The decibel meter's graph shows a good reduction of the low frequencies, but how accurate is this?
The meter is set to dBA. Would dBC be more useful for this type of test - to measure the low frequencies more accurately?

Perhaps. But I think he's really talking about lower frequencies like synth bass and 808 kick. The frequencies of an alto or tenor sax are mostly in the vocal range so the DB meter he is using would be correct.

Yes - I agree, but I've read that the lowest note on the tenor is Ab2 (concert) which is about 104Hz.
I think this would mean that dBA and dBC measurements would show different results for the lower range of the tenor, as shown by the graph from the video.
