I have a chance to purchase a Yamaha YTS-62II Series Professional Tenor for 2200
Silver plated version . I s this too good a price to pass up ?

Doug step away from the saxophones!! Playability, Condition, and Age factor into it. I wouldn't say its a GREAT deal, but any horn you can afford that's better than what you have is worth buying! Play it!

$2200 for a NEW 62II is definitely a fair price, however, I wouldn't say it is too good a deal to pass up.

I agree with everyone who said to try it. That's the way to know for sure if you should buy it. I can't comment on the silver version but I love my lacquer yts-62II.

I play the silver 62II and have been for about 4 or 5 years now. I love it, but I also have tried a couple other silver 62IIs and and I found it hard to get a clear sound out of one of them. I highly recommend the instrument but try it before you but it.
