They should be ready to deliver it on a regular basis from dec 07, latest jan 2008. That's what they told me. I've just placed a new picture of the Sunsonic alto.tjontheroad said:That strait alto looks cool When should I expect it to come out? I just want know when I need to hide my credit cards
How big is your sax collection, Randall? You seem to have at least one of everything! I'm jealous!Randall said:I have the inspiration for the "altello"...an original Rampone straight alto from the 1930's...less than 100 ever made!
The next on the straight alto looks like too steep of an angle to make it comfortable to play. Have you tried it?Stan said:
I will test them on December and as usual publish the video. Stay tuned, the English translation of the entire R&C tour will be published on my web site this weekMorry said:The next on the straight alto looks like too steep of an angle to make it comfortable to play. Have you tried it?
I will ask themtjontheroad said:What's the metal finish of the prototype? Is the altello going to be in high copper brass, silver or gold plate?

Thanks for checking. I like the prototype's finish as is. It gives it an ol' time look from days gone by. I hope (or not for my wallet's sake) they start using that through their line.Stan said:A very fast answer just arrived
Material: Yellow Brass (a special alloy)
Finish: Sandblasted pure brass (unlaquered)
All the R1 finishes will be available for the R1-Jazz Altello and probably a few more...
All the best,
The only thing I would change on my Keilwerth straight, is the neck angle. That one looks perfect. (reminds me of the original stritch)Morry said:The neck on the straight alto looks like too steep of an angle to make it comfortable to play. Have you tried it?
