Thanks for posting these performances, I have just got round to listening to them. Ever since hearing his Hymn Variations I have been interested in David Noon's music and this is the first work of his for saxophone ensemble I have heard. The 3rd and 4th movements are my favourite ones and the 3rd has that wonderful, open American sound (at least to my British ears). The sections in the 4th movement are really varied yet the movement feels unified. Did you commission it?
