Does no one know the answer to this?
Sorry to point it out, but I didn't entirely understand the question...
He's talking about the quotation marks around the "Super" to Super, right?

I have 3 Milleniums and NY 7* that do not have the quotations (all post 2000 purchases and I imagine have been made after that time). I have two Early Babbits, a Florida USA and a Florida No USA and they do not have the quotes. I can only tell you that the drop would be some time between the Early Babbits (75 - 79?) and the Milleniums (2000). If anyone has an Early Babbit without quotes or modern era (1980-2000) this would be a better "tell".
Thanks, you have answered my question.

They're calling these mpcs "Transitional" ...

I have one of these (not from saxplus) and plays great.
So a "transitional" actually predates the sidestamdped Early Babbits according to this? Interesting.

Rodrigo, do you have any side stamped EB's or Florida's to compare them to?
Well Rodrigo, with your help I have now determined that I have a transitional link. Thanks so much, i did compare it to a modern link and they are different.
FYI. My NY is longer than the Florida's and the EB's with and is just a Super. Your's doesn't have NY stamped on the shank does it?

No, unfortunately I don't have.

Comparing with current ones I found mine more bright and livelier.
But I can't assure all these mpcs are like mine...

Nope.
Excellent for you. BTW - to the "Millenium is just a NY done with different plating" crowd. The NY is significantly longer than all 3 of my Milleniums.

Total idle curiosity here...why do you have three Millenniums? (Or would that be Millenia?)
All my links have the " "'s, except my millenium and a brand new STM....

Nice. I have 3 Millenia as I really loved them for a while (and they're still very good). The first one I got as one of my Florida Links (the one with the USA) needed to be sent for some work. Then I liked it so much that I wanted a backup. Then I realised they were a limited run and I just had to get another. I will probably have that and the modern NY and one of my EB's refaced.

The real question shoul did why did I part with my Tenney STM? I have 2 EB's 2 FL's 3 Mill's and 1 NY. Why would I sell the Tenney? Hmmmmm.

BTW-I still owe you a SAXXAS scan. My scanner broke and the wife and I are driving cross country starting today. We won't be fixing it until we get back. I you still need it then send me a PM around the 12th.
