You need a piece with a high baffle.
When I started out competing with guitar players (which is sometimes impossible) I used a Jumbo Java.
Any of the pieces dstack mentioned is a good place to start. A good Berg Larsen will also do.
Just don't buy one that someone told you to buy. Take a list to a music store and try several of them. Buy the one that works best for you.
