Beautiful writing and playing by Ilia Skibinski. First track isn't Beyond the sun and last track is a repeat of Dorian ways instead of Passage part 2. No matter we get the idea.

So good to hear young players who are going their own way and not trying to be some name from the 50s-60s. Solos don't quite match up to the beautiful writing in the Passage and rely on being technical instead of melodic, but well played nevertheless. It's a relief when they go back to the basic tune, which isn't that basic and a hell of a lot more complex than your average "standard". These are players to watch, especially Ilia as he develops and mellows into bringing his melodic talent into his improvisations.
