I recently examined a Penzel-Mueller Soloist Bb clarinet - a model that I had not heard of before and could find no reference to on the web. It was wooden and the keywork seemed OK, but it needed some attention to the LH keys. It was also unplayable due to some leaks . . . unless squeeks count. The Soloist designation was a slant signature above the P-M logo and was found on the barrel, upper joint, and bell. Does anyone know anything about this model?

Vintage, as P-M has not been in business for quite a while . . . but the Soloist model was a new one on me and several vintage clarinet buffs. Yet there are now two of them on ebay - the one I examined and one other. Wish I knew where the Soloist fell in their line.
