Hi,
my son asked me if I want MARK VII for really funny price.
Its his friend that got this sax 10 years ago when they were in music school.
The boy really didn't play on it... was just big fun. He is a chef now :).

I play alto and not planning to play tenor in visible future...

First, I want just to have an idea what this instrument realistically worth today.
It should be in good condition. Probably pads should be replaced (dried out, I guess).

Take plz a look at a pic.

Really hard to tell from a single pic. But I can tell you that it's an early 1977 vintage and has been de-lacquered which makes it less valuable than one with the lacquer still intact. One with lacquer in pristine condition might go for $2500 US or more. If this one is just in "good" condition in need of a full re-pad, maybe closer to $1500. I can't make any more judgments without a lot more pictures.

If it hasn't been played in 10 years, then the pads will be in the same condition they were 10 years ago. If the pads aren't damaged, you're fine. But I expect at least a few need to be replaced. I've had some pads last several decades.
