I'm continuing to have problems with the stock Lebayle LR napkin-ring styled ligature. If the reed stock isn't the perfect thickness, then the lig doesn't back far enough (or it has to go too far back) which results in slippage and chirps.

The original lig measures 1" in diameter at one end and 1 1/16" at the other. I'd like to get something adjustable that goes around that range (preferrably not rovner, however). Perhaps an Oleg? Or the Selmer metal 3-ring lig? Vandoren Optimum (would the alto one fit)?

Maybe someone on here could be so kind to measure a lig or two to give me a frame of reference.

Thanks & best wishes,
Steve
