What cases will fit a circa 1925/6 TT Alto? I've read through quite a few threads on here, but there are many conflicting reports. Would a Gator or Protec contour fit, or would I have to shell out more for a SKB hardshell/Hiscox/whatever?

I've got mine in a contoured Protec and have been gigging with it for years.

I too like the shaped Protec. I have 2 tts with the original cases and they have the worst fit of any of the vintage ones. Also the Protec is not too expensive.

The Gators fit a TT well, too.

I'm surprised by your comment, Bruce. I was playing my nicest TT alto last night and happened to notice how well it fits the original case. It does have the original silver end plug which is a little taller than the replacement plastic ones and helps to make it a tighter end to end fit.
