Maria Schneider directed our jazz ensemble in our final concert of the year and I finally got my hands on a recording! I put up an excerpt from her tune "Pas de Deux." It is the solo section featuring trading between myself (on soprano) and my buddy Adam Meckler (on flugle).

I'm very proud of this performance. It has definitely been the highlight of my career so far and it is going to be tough to top.

Hi Ben,

I like your sound on soprano a lot. You sound poised and your tone is light and sweet. It sounds controlled and relaxed, and solid intonation. Very nice!

Sounds great, Ben! Adam did a great job on the flugle too.
Nice composition and arrangement.

Thanks coolsax,

I've been working real hard on my soprano chops for the past two years. The horn I'm playing was hand picked from the Selmer factory in Elkhart and plays like a dream, but unfortunately it belongs to my school and not to me :-(

hmmm...do you think my professors would notice if it happened to vanish mysteriously ?
