Hi, I recently bought a beautiful silver alto, but I don't know what brand it is?!? Ok I know that's dumb, but it was a good price & it plays well. The only identification I can find is a very ornate letter "B" on the bell, as well as some nice engraved flowers on the bell. Can anyone help? Photos are in my album. Cheers.

Hi,

I can't help on brand identification, but that may not even be a "B" on the bell. It is definitely a C Clef, but it could also be cleverly denoting a brand starting with the letter B. Before any one gets smart and says it is an alto clef; It has to be on the staff to tell which voice it stands for. Off the staff, it is just a C clef.

Good luck in your search.
