They look cozy all nestled up together like that in bed. ;) Better keep an eye on them or might have a couple of new sopranos running around the house.

Seriously, though. It looks like a horn that's been well cared for or at least well restored. A real beauty. How does it play?

I'm surprised at the difference in size between the two baritones.

Yep, i play little baritone and Yes, it's so curious and interested,
The things is important to keep, it's Dolnet-Lefevre-Pigis is older than selmer modele 22 and We can look the true difference into 2 period : one (the Dolnet-Lefevre-Pigis) is typical saxophone which it made during 1850-1900's and Selmer modele 22 is typical saxophone which it made 1920-1930,

My Dolnet-Lefevre-Pigis is on nickel plate but selmer modèle 22 is in better metal.
Pretty horn, keyed up to Eb I see.
gorgeous instruments me thinks - thanks for sharing
Those are very nice looking instruments.

I think the Dolnet is shorter because it's keyed to low B. Is that right? Also, I know nothing about Dolnets, but it would surprise me if a sax with that polygonal sheet metal guard was from the 19th century. Perhaps it is from a different serial number sequence.

But maybe that particular guard isn't original to this instrument - it doesn't seem to match others on the same horn.

Now I have to ask... do you sleep in their case?

Good point. It would be interesting to see both sides of the Dolnet, and the left hand table. It looks like the Dolnet might have the G# key separate from the F# and the right hand stack, which would support that it is quite old.

The metal guards come from original Dolnet bel air, my Dolnet-Lefevre-Pigis was in very very very bad conditions, and there is full restorated but the original guards was broken and it uses old pieces of dolnet bel air in bad, for me a métal guards in good condition with modification to replace the broken guards

Any chance that the Dolnet is a high pitched instrument?
I believe there’s a lot of high pitched Dom et baritone’s around.
As an aside I have a Selmer Super 1931 baritone that looks similar to your Selmer.
Now I have to ask... do you sleep in their case?
Don’t you know anything??? Everyone knows the house cats sleep in the cases 💁‍♂️
