I just wanted to thank everyone who has emailed me about this great sax. I can't believe my luck. I thought I would post some photos.

Thanks again, and I'd love to hear any more comments from the all the mod Conns!

Awesome - silver, and with (what appears to be) a New York neck, no less. Congrats! You'll thoroughly enjoy your new, aged lady. Treat her well!
Connquerors are fantastic, versatile horns. I love both of mine (alto and tenor) - I wish they'd made sopranos and baris, too!

You're right - my bad. Never try to identify a sax after doing shots of single malt. :sign6:
I've had that problem as well!

That is a BEAUTIFUL horn- like Jason says, it has a few Chu-ish traits, which makes it all the more interesting.

There is a joke here somewhere about a Chu-ish Naked Lady...

ARGHHHH!!!!!! ITS NOT FAIR.....:blob:

OK... I'm back...... from a two second pity party just for me, ( and you're not invited) :D

What a beautiful horn, and I'm really glad she found you. It seems that there are some killer deals to be found once in a blue moon. I've found a few outstanding mouthpieces for dirt cheap, but nothing like this. This is like a lotto winfall. It sure pays to be withen walking distance of a music store when they have stuff on sale.

Have you found your killer mouthpiece for it? It just never stops, the march of the GAS drum..... ;)

Hey guys,

It's a player (even if I'm not)! Brought it to the bar Sunday--if only to make the "vintage" guitar guys a little envious. It's good to know so many of you guys would be willing to help me out should I decide to sell it :D

I've tried a few mouthpieces--surprisingly, the one that sounds the best so far is a Meyer metal jazz! I'm getting a Rovner replacement lig for it.

The next thing now though is a case. It won't go in my Protec contour case, so I'm using a cheapo gig bag. Any suggestions?

Cheers,
Rory

ps. the microtuner works like it was new!

Get Something Quick

What ever you do, do it quick. A cheapo gig bag is no protection at all ( from dinks, bops, and drops). It may look cool to walk into a joint with your ax slung over your shoulder in a gig bag, but, have the front door wack you in the sax on the way in, and you will be crying!!! So, get some protection!!! It's a scarey world out there...... ;)
