I have a selmer mark VII alto, sn# 24xxx
its in pretty good condition, no dents new pads, and im gettin it tuned up and delaqured in a week. i want to sell it so i can buy myself a tenor, but im not sure what would be the best way to go about this, and how much i should ask for it. anyone have any advice??

Joshua: Welcome to SOTW. I can't speak for the others but I'd leave the finish alone and just pay enough repair-money to bring the horn into playing shape for a sale.

Not everyone is HOT for delacquered saxophones so you could be limiting the horn's appeal to others. Not that I'd buy it either way, but for sure I'm one who wouldn't buy it if you fooled with the finish. DAVE

I say throw it up on E-bay, and see what happens. BIN at like $1500. Depending on condition.
