I just purchased a '25 HN White King (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110510569919) and put my Rousseau JDX5 on it and it sounded awful. I had three other mpc's, but they have no names on them. There is one that sounded fairly good and I noticed it had thicker rails, a narrower and longer window and a full chamber. What are the benefits (if any) of having thicker rails? Also, can you tell what kinds of mpc's these are?
104 is all mpc's side by side (left to right in order 106 - 109).
106 is the new narrow window mpc
107 is another non-branded mpc
108 is the mpc with the "U" or hard-looking symbol on top
109 is the JDX5

BTW, here's my new 1925 HN White King Alto, I threw on some Haggerty's silver polish last night after stripping the keys off of it and it turned out beautiful! Funny thing, when I first received it, it played pretty well, in tune and everything. When I stripped it down, I found an old silver mpc cover jammed up inside of it!!! And it still sounded good! I took it out last night and all I can say is "WOW"! I know these Kings have a bad rap for being out of tune and not being very easy to play, but this thing is pure sex. :king:
