Hi,
I was wondering.. What are the 10 most used classical mouthpieces in the market today? (No, I'm not asking for the best). The only ones I played are the vandorens and the selmers.

Thanks!

Take a look at the "Index of Classical Mouthpieces" thread in this sub-forum.
Good idea :)

Here's a sort-of capsule: (In no particular order)

1. Selmer S80
2. Selmer S90
3. Vandoren V5
4. Vandoren Optimum AL3
5. Selmer Soloist
6. Rousseau NC Series
7. Rousseau "R" Series
8. Hite Classic
9. Morgan C Series
10. Selmer LT

Others are made by Clark Fobes (Nova series), Richard Hawkins (Sinta), John Pyne (can't remember the name of his piece), and Bari (Baroque, and "C*").

For Rascher-type pieces: (Although most Rascher players I've met actually prefer older Buescher mouthpieces...)

1. Sigurd Rascher series
2. Caravan (some French/American players use Caravans too, particularly on soprano)
3. Ridenour

I'm probably forgetting a few; this is off the top of my head.
