I'm interested in a high end mouthpiece that is for sale. It's actually a clarinet mouthpiece.

Looking at the photos I noticed it has a small nick in one of the rails. It's pretty small but I was wondering whether that would affect the sound since it's on the rail where the reed vibrates.

Unlikely in my opinion.
Unless it is bulging as a result of the nick.

it’s easily repaired but chances are it does absolutely nothing to playing
