Hello, forum!

Anyone have experience with Morgan Fry mouthpieces? I'm particularly interested in his tenor Link copy - FLZ Slant Tenor. Is it bright/dark? Free blowing? Etc, etc. Trying to determine if it is worth trying one.

Thanks!

I have several of his pieces (FLZ, floridated link and some others...) and each one is really a great mouthpiece.
His FLZ is a medium dark piece with a medium to low push (umphhh ;-) in the sound and still has a nice edge if you push it. It has a nice resistance and prefers slightly softer reeds, from my experience. It inspires to play a lush ballad, but cuts enough to play more funky stuff. I recorded with the FLZ on the following demo, where i play a solo somewhere in the song "clockwise". This illustrates how flexible this piece is. http://www.tuurmoensandsyndicate.com/tuur_moens_and_syndicate/MUSIC.html
