A family member recently found a very aged saxophone and just gave it to me. Nobody in my family is really fluent in instrument manufacturers which brought me here. I have been searching for many hours with no results. The saxophone maker is Montclair, as previously stated, with serial number 2826, which can be found on the neck and body of the sax. It also has the number 155 on the saxophones body above the second 2826. Any information is very appreciated, thank you.

Yup. Schennklaars just like SD said. Probably from the '60's....so not 'ancient' (or crap, that'd mean...so am I :dazed:)

This is a stencil, meaning the mother company (Schenklaars) made/assembled it, and it was engraved with a different name.

In project-horn condition, worth about $150-200. All serviced and playing well, worth around $500-600.

Not bad instruments, they sound very nice.
