I worked with Peter mid '90's in the Bay Area, we met at 19 Broadway a club in Fairfax, we played a few gigs together, just a very sweet cat ..RIP Peter
Always was my favorite of the Monkees. Got to see him play a solo gig at Bunratty's in Allston back in the 80's. Absolutely brilliant in the movie Head, holding the melting ice cream cone.
A couple years ago I saw an episode or two of the Monkees show online somewhere after having not seen them since they originally aired in the 60s. I was really surprised how funny they were.
I remember getting the 45 of "Last Train to Clarksville" and playing it repeatedly for so long on the trusty Webcor record player that my mom and brother threatened to hurt me if I didn't stop.
