I know this post is old, but Aquilasax never made them either. They talked about it but there was not enough interest. Aside from the handful of early F mezzos floating around you will only find Conns. No other company has made a modern F mezzo.
not quite a F mezzo, but a G mezzo is produced by Peter Jessen , certainly rare and not cheap.
In China there is never been anyone who wanted to make a copy of the F mezzo, it would have been a failure in their eyes which are firmly locked into mass production since there is a minute market for a horn without any specific literature.
Aquilasax was not a F saxophone but a C ( he had C tenors and C sopranos), nobody has died, the saxophone after a while being produced for himself alone was then ( i suppose it was part of the deal) offered normally.
The C tenor are now being sold by many Chinese sources and by Thomann and Sax.co.uk
