Commonly considered to be a horn that doesn't fit at 100% finely a particular genre but is flexible enough to move around them all with great results.
As Otto Links are mainly used by Jazz players and HR Selmer by classical performers, which set up (mpc and maybe also reed) could be a perfect or near perfect match to a MKVI (Tenor) when it comes to Rock N Roll?.

I've played rock and roll using Link, guy Hawkins, Berg Larsen, Guardala, Vandoren, RPC and my own mouthpieces. No problems on any of them. Perhaps rock and roll is too general a term to use. At one time I remember the Fats Domino horn section consisted of (mouthpiece wise) Ottoman Link, Selmer, Brillhart, Berg Larsen and Vandoren.

I never heard of a Ottoman Link. Is that Link made in Turkey, or a standard Link played on a cushion in the living room?

With the sultans of swing.

I feel another caption competition coming on...
"During the height of the Ottoman Empire, the most common forms of execution were forced hara-kiri (borrowed from the Japanese samurai) or prolonged subjection to the "Songbird Sextet" (a style of torture that later evolved into what came to be known in the Western world as "elevator music"). The worst offenders got both."

Or this:

"Is that a 10* or are you just pleased to see me?"
Hey, check out my new Ottoman Link. I heard about them at Swords on the Web and just had to have one.

It seems whenever I hear a killer rock sax player, they are using a handmade Guardala mouthpiece on their Mark VI.
