Paul Maslin has a few at PMWoodwinds.com

On the other hand, given the story you've shared, why not buy a great horn for $3k and save the surplus for college?

Why do you NEED a Mk VI? Don't answer to me, it matters most to you and you're the one that needs to have the conversation.

Add to that list: TenorMadness.com

and it's Saxquest.com (vs "sawquest" - that's an entirely different matter).

Me too, especially suggesting other horns with none of the qualities of the horn the person is seeking.
Mea culpa. I should acknowledge that every teenage boy NEEDS a Mk VI tenor and perhaps a 1965 Mustang too.

Go for it!

@Dr. G.

I know my son wants a Mark VI. I also know he's not getting one. :)
+1

My kids are likely going to be looking for Bueschers and Borganis - and may get them!

(shhhhhh - don't tell them)

Can I be one of your kids:)
That was a very polite request and I appreciate that in a child.

Thank you, no.

Two children is quite enough. I am trying to downsize as it is and adding another child with requisite needs is not indicated.

Wesley, Mk VI tenors are all over the map regarding tone and projection. Saying you want a Mk VI is like saying you want a Ford - lots of variations within the theme. There are several eras of Mk VI tenors - each with a general vibe.

That said, there is a classic Selmer core. Consider also, depending on your sonic concept, the Serie III and Ref 36. (There are also the Serie II and Ref 54 but, eh, I just don't care for them...)

G'luck with your quest.

My yani 992 t is so amazing my friend wanted to trade me his Mark V1 I kid you not
If we are going down the derail path, I'd be compelled to mention that the person that bought my other Borgani Jubilee sold his Mk VI tenor.

Back to the original program...

Someday you will all come to realize that the Guardala sounds the most like a MkVI. I just thought you should know
Which stuffy, out-of-regulation Mk VI are you comparing it to?
