The improvisation was just beautiful. The only part I wasn't totally convinced by was the initial playing of the head - does anyone know if he was imitating someone else's take on embroidering the tune (eg. Coltrane's) at that point? It just seemed to me (ignoramus britannicus!) that he was a little less involved at the start.
