If you're a Brecker fanatic, like I am, you will love hearing this feature produced by Indiana Public Radio. It's about an hour long, but well worth your time, as there is lots of interesting information about MB's time at Indiana University during 1967-68, and it includes recordings of a couple of live performances from that era.

Fun fact: Brecker was a high school classmate of Benjamin Netanyahu.
I know, isn't that crazy?

I also really enjoyed the story about how MB's band got disqualified from the Notre Dame Jazz Festival competition for the crime of jamming on the Doors "Light My Fire"--along with an actual recording of that performance! Interesting to realize that even as a very young person MB was already interested in breaking through the barriers between jazz and popular music, and already facing censure from the jazz police for it!
