Meyer NY USA 3M alto mpc question

To the refacers; what is realistic in opening up an old Meyer NY USA in a 3M facing? Curious to hear what opinions are. And second question, would you pursue doing so?

Be aware that tip numbers of Meyers have changed over time - measure it.

Talk to a mouthpiece tech if you want a good answer. There's more than one way to open a mouthpiece.

Get the mouthpiece evaluated to learn the best path for your 'piece.
