Anybody every stuck some kind of spoiler or removable baffle in a meyer mouthpiece for alto? A 6m just isn't cutting it. Plus, I really wouldn't want it to get worked on because..well its limited edition lol. so yeah..baffle anybody?

I recommend trying a stick-on baffle. They are sold under a couple of names. Power-Tone is one.

I have described how to make removable baffles before. Its a lot of typing and I do not think I saved it. It may be in the old archive.

Some other options include poster puddy you can buy at Staples, etc. You just make a small road bump on the baffle.

Plasticover reeds work really well on meyers. It's easy to get that projecting rock sound Mark Russo used to get when he was with the Yellow Jackets. I believe he plays a Meyer 5 with plasticovers.

Report: I used sticky tak stuff..works wonder. With heat and moisture nothing changed. Sound changed as much as I wanted to. I just depended how much, how less, and distance from chamber.
