Hi To All

Has the external shape of the New York Meyer Alto ever changed... or are the modern Meyer's exactly the same shape as the old one ?

Many Thanks

I have seen at least 2 NY Meyer bodies (and 2 M chambers, but there seems to be no correlation between the two), and most if not all Babbitt bodies are a little different from either. About the same size, but the beak is a little wider, and the taper into the shank is steeper, than the smaller (and most common) NY.

If you're trying to identify a particular piece, put up some photos, someone here will probably know.
