I decided to go for an Otto link 5* ( 0.085" tip opening ) because of the music style I want to play... but what is the difference in Otto Links depending on the material ( metal vs. Rubber) having the same tip opening... I can not try any of them, as I am away from the store selling the mouthpiece. I need to decide between this two Otto links... according to your experiences with this two mpc´s what should I expect ? Best wishes and thanks in advance for your advise.

I used to have both on soprano.
First, it's not the same tip opening. Metal and rubber had different size number scale.
You should expect bright sound on metal vs. rubber. Fat tones with edge on rubber, a lot of power on metal with high mids.
Sadly, also poor facing on both. Inconsistency is the constant on links.

I assumed he is talking about modern new ottos -and tenor ones- because of the tip opening.
