I never hear much about players using the metal Meyers on tenor? Anybody out there have any experience with them? Am I right that these have a similar design to Babbitt's Guy Hawkins mouthpieces, and some of the older Wolfe Taynes? That is, rollover baffle, medium large chamber...

It's been years since I had one and I was pretty green on tenor at the time I owned it, but I do recall it wasn't much to write home about. I remember the sound being kind of ultra-dark, probably to the point of being dull. There are some nice HR Meyer pieces around (a tenor I bought came with a NY Meyer MP that I like), but I wouldn't rush out and get a metal one unless I could try it first.
