. Do metal clarinets use the same pads as the more common clarinets? I recently got my Rene Dumont repaired and they don't seal so well.

They take the exact same pads. If your metal clarinet has just been serviced and it's not sealing, take it back to the tech. Tell them that it's leaky. If they're reputable they will guarantee their work and make the adjustments free of charge.
