I've enjoyed his playing since I first saw him with Elvin. I have a great deal of respect for him and the way that he has tried to approach music as it applies to him, today. And everyone I've talked to who has met him has said he is a wonderful person.

A friend of mine is his neighbor. My friend is not too knowledgeable about jazz, but tells me what a warm and generous man Ravi is and what a nice family to boot. It's so nice to see/hear about the child of a legend making his own way and being a good person as well. It seems that people in the equivalent position don't often sort out that way.
