Thought I'd share a link to a new video lesson from Chad Lefkowitz-Brown. A brief excerpt of the lesson is available in the link. The cost is also reasonable, in my opinion.

This is one of the clearest explanations to systematically building Brecker-style inside-outside lines that I have seen. Chad builds the material logically, and his illustrations make it quite easy to construct new lines using combinations of what he calls melodic cells.

I'm really enjoying practicing this material, which is applicable to playing modal, funk, or straight-ahead changes-based tunes. The video comes with a PDF that shows examples of melodic cells to practice to get this journey started.

I have no affiliation to either the company or to Chad. Just trying to shed to get better...
